I know it’s still summer, but I bought that Stranger Things candle from Bath & Body Works, and I’m fully ready to embrace my inner cellar dweller. The temperature might not have dropped yet, but I’m already mentally prepping for those crisp fall days filled with pumpkin-flavored everything and cozy nights of gaming. So, grab that basic girl pumpkin beer, throw on your favorite oversized sweatshirt, and let’s get into my list of favorite games for the fall season. Whether you're slaying clickers or casting spells, these games are perfect for embracing the shorter days, cooler nights, and the eerie vibes of autumn.
Madden - PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PC

No fall gaming list would be complete without Madden. It's practically a seasonal requirement. #Finsup 🏈
Spiderman - PS4, PS5, PC

If I could not only visit Central Park in the fall but also Central Perk, i'd never put this game down. 🍁🌳🍂
The Last of Us Part I/PartII - PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Nintendo Switch

Okay, The Last of Us doesn’t exactly scream "relaxing fall vibes," but hear me out. Fall is the season of death and decay, and no game captures that mood better than this post-apocalyptic masterpiece. The eeriness of abandoned cities, overgrown foliage, and the ever-looming danger of clickers around every corner makes this game a perfect fit for those dark, moody autumn nights. Is it cozy? No. Is it the ultimate fall mood? Absolutely.
Hogwarts Legacy - PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch

Hogwarts in the fall with a spiked butter beer is every millennials fantasy.
Animal Crossing New Horizons - Nintendo Switch

As much as I love a good Halloween party, the only one I really want to attend is the one on my island in Animal Crossing. Why? Because I don’t have to actually leave the house. Plus, there’s something so delightful about turning your entire island into a pumpkin paradise and hanging out with villagers dressed in adorable costumes. If there’s a pumpkin overlord, I am fully prepared to pledge my allegiance.
Luigi's Mansion 3 - Nintendo Switch

I got my start in the hospitality industry and it still scares me too this day. Plus, Luigi’s constant anxiety throughout is, dare I say, relatable.
Stardew Valley - Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PC

I suggest this as a pallet cleanser after the Last of Us and you can't get invested in anymore storylines that'll break your heart. Focus on harvesting those crops in your cute little town, you're doing amazing sweetie.
Sims - seasons, werewolves, spooky stuff, vampires, realm of magic, Paranormal- PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PC, Mac

Another fairly obvious one, but i'm always a proud sims girly 4 lyfe.
Ghostbusters - PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch

Who ya gonna call? Fun fact my car's name is Marshmallow after this guy. What a hunk.
On my list to try for Fall 2024:
Bully
Life is Strange
Night in the woods
Alan Wake
Red Dead Redemption 2
(Don't judge me on this one, it has been on the list forever!)
Luigis Mansion 2
